  • Expansion of Rome between 1 and 3
Foundation and expansion of Christianity between 2 and 3
Fall of Constantinople   and Ottoman expansion somewhere between 3 and 5
Colonial Empires between 5 and 6 I suppose
Beginning of the Soviet Union simultaneously with 7
The Cold War started basically after the end of WWII, so there won’t be much in between those two

I think your best single source for choosing the wars in which you’d be interested would be this book:

The Harper Encyclopedia of Military History: From 3500 BC to the Present
    R. Ernest Dupuy (Author), Trevor N. Dupuy (Author)

I have a copy of an older edition and I find it to be an extremely valuable reference source.  It’s basically a chronological list of every war in history.

  • @Dylan:

    I made an updated version

    1. Forming of Ancient Europe

I’m not sure what you mean by that one.  Most of Europe was a wilderness around the time when the first civilizations of the Near East were getting started.  Some civilizations then started appearing in various places in Europe, Greece and Etruscan Italy being early examples, but they were highly localized.  There are a few historically known wars (mostly of a local character) in which these civilizations were involved, and these fragmented conflicts could perhaps be treated in isolation, but collecting them into a single large category for the purposes of a single wargame might be a bit awkward.

  • Between 6 and 7 you guys have forgot the three wars that brought together Germany. (The Wars of Bismarck)

The third of these wars the Franco-Prussian war played a huge role in laying the foundations of WWI.

  • So Sparta took over Greece, when did that fall?

You also missed half the wars I added to the list.

The so called “war of the three Kingdoms” was the unification of China.
