Could start a bit earlier, say 1940 or 1941 and include southern England. After 1942 the allies’ has air supremacy for the most part.
Also tech… have jet fighters, anti-air missiles, pressurized bomber cockpits, long range fighters, etc…
Where do you get these?
where is link to buy them?
yah, they look pretty good, where did you get them?
Can you place an AA Bomber piece next to them for size comparison?
Where do you get these?
1/700 air plane from sky wave.(Pitroad, Japan)
C47 Skytrain (UK = Italy campaing paint scheme)

I’m gonna do it for you. Probably tomorrow.

where do you buy these?
I bought those kits a couple of years ago from 2 differents US Hobby shop but I don’t remember who.
I want some.
I want some.
Nothing to lose to order its.
Skywave/Pitroad is on the net.
Trumpeteer,Hasegawa and Tamiya makes 1/700 airplane.
Especially IJN airplane but also US.
he, ya, I forgot the japanese bomber!!!
I’ll send pictures….
And what about my carrier!
1/700 gives the junkers Ju 52 a 1.6 inch wingspan. Slightly larger than the standard Axis & Allies airplane scale (the A&A bomber has a wingspan of 1.5 inches).
If you assume the A&A bomber is a B-17, then the miniature scale is:
Real life B17 wingspan = 103 ft 9 in = 1245 in
A&A plastic bomber piece wingspan = 1.5 in
1245 in / 1.5 in = 830
Therefore, the A&A aircraft scale is 1/830.
1/700 is fairly close.

The measurements you made are incorrect. Therefore, so are your calculations.
B17 wingspan = 31.62m
A&A B17 wingspan = 47mm
31.62/.047 = 672
A&A B17 aircraft scale is 1/672
Furthermore, the scales on the A&A pieces are inconsistent. They vary from piece to piece.
Ah, I see where the problem lies. I was using measurements from the original generic A&A bomber piece (which is 38mm in width).
And yes, I was aware that the pieces are all different scales. I assume that you’d want the transport plane to scale up against the bombers.
Regardless, my final conclusion that 1/700 scale is fairly close is still valid and correct.
I’m afraid your attempt to embarrass and discredit me has failed :-).

I neither tried to embarrass nor discredit you. I was just pointing out the error you made. Don’t be so touchy. We all make mistakes.
1/700 scale is the perfect scale for bombers and transport planes.
Those are really nice paint jobs.
Thanks.
I just finished to paint my cargo.
Everything is done.
Ready to play…
