I finally made my choice.  I’ll keep my units in ziploc bags, but I’ll transport them in a used ammo box.

thats what  i do to, it works. why make it more complicated, i dont need to look like some mafia sniper carrying a big long black box around. allthough i do use a WWII ammo can, not my Nam ones. :wink:

A few of my friends and i decided that in world war 2 the artillery pieces were moveable. The conclusion that we came to was that if a tank or half track were to pull the artillery piece, you would have to roll a die to determine whether the tank could carry the piece. On a one two or three the tank didnt have enough strength. One disadvantage that we made was that the vehicle lost 1 speed to compensate for the weight of the piece. Another disadvantage is that it counts as two pieces and if the tank is destroyed while pulling it then the piece is also destroyed. when the tank is pulling the piece and both are in a hex, they count as one unit. Let me know what u guys think and if u have any better ideas. -PEACE

one of the defining characteristics of a “tank” is the turret, this is true. but over the years the difanition of a “tank” has disolved, most people would see some armored machine of war and simply call it a tank. Armor, a big gun and some weels/treds and you got a tank, thats what it really comes down too now a days.

allthough the Jagpanther didnt have a turret it was one of the first " tanks" with if my memory serves me a reverse axel displacment set up, allowing the thing to pull a 180 in a shorter amount of time than most “tank” turrets took to rotate front to back.
