• as i see it, among good players its simply more and more often that Allies take Berlin while Japanese take Moscow-usually around same turn( +1-)

the vast majority of players on this forum( even among the best ) plays KGF as a default strategy

that often leads to the scenario described above…

the real game than beginns with Japan playying against the rest…

and the art of playing then really comes to play since, its a completely new situation, its often that Japan faces inferior position but with some skilled solid play can take the Rest…

    any thoughts, ideas, opinions

feel free to give them

  • Japan will never win this scenario if they have an inferior income.

  • @Nukchebi0:

Japan will never win this scenario if they have an inferior income.

    Not always true.

Other factors that will play into it…
    Remaining German forces (if any)
    Distribution of Japan forces
Whether or not USA/UK have ANY naval presence in the Pacific or Indian Oceans as Russia falls

  • We did try this in 2nd edition.

If you took a standard map set-up without modifications, no way Japan could beat the world 4 on 1.

We doubled everything Japan had in the initial set-up to try and even things up.

    ** didn’t work ***

Too many options for the 4 other allies to beat up on Japan.

Remember too that Japan is an island nation and needs to establish other avenues of unit distribution.

Japan and Russia against Germany, UK and US is not a bad game.  Game play order would need to be switched?

    Perhaps:
    Russia, UK, Japan, Germany, US?

  • Axis_Roll, I think the question isn’t Japan Vs. The World, but a game in which Japan has captured Moscow and the Allies have captured Berlin.

    Then the thread is mis-titled.

Perhaps it should read Japan versus the remaining allies…
    or
    What we call a “J.A.B.”

    Japan vs. America & Britain

Well, after Germany and Russia fall, it IS Japan vs. the rest of the world.

I never heard of that jibber JABber, fool!

    Tanks are strong!
