@dwolfe1972:
i am having a hard time defeating the japanese fleet with yamato and fuso combo and i am not sure which direction i want to go in :mrgreen:
Go for the weakness of BBs - torpedoes. Load up on subs and anything else to swarm the BBs.

There’s quite a few reputable online retailers which may still have some of the first two sets in stock but you need to act soon since they’re no longer in print. Here’s some good vendors:

There’s also the online trading forums - this one has lots of activity:
Opening Salvo: Pt. 2 released today.
“This week we move on to a pair of ships that introduce new nations to the game, the Greek destroyer Vasilissa Olga and the Finnish coastal defense ship Väinämöinen.”
thanks alot guys, i thought that was right, but wasnt sure the rules were a bit vague.
So in the case of some cruisers that get for example ESCORT KILLER - Eugenio di Savoia- and it says it can make 2 gunnery attacks against seperate targets, as long as one is a destroyer, it gets 2 main gunnery attacks then in that surface attack phase when it would normally only get one? is that right?
Correct. Ships like the HMS Kent and Eugenio di Savoia may make two separate attacks using their main gunnery in the same phase. Ships typically only have one main gunnery attack in the surface attack phase. Some ships have secondary and even tertiary gunnery values which also gives you additional surface attacks.
any box art???
Everything I’ve seen points to the same art/box on WotC’s official site:
They posted the first preview (Opening Salvo) for Condition Zebra - Junyo and Bearn.
Hi guys im a new memebr to the forum, and the naval game, ive been playing with my friends and i was wondering in the surface attack phase if you have multiple attacks and torpedo attacks, can you split your attacks between targets, so main and secondary gunnery attacks from the same ship, at 2 different targets? or gunnery and torpedo attacks and two different targets?
Yes. You may attack separate targets with each of your ship’s gunnery and torpedo attacks. It does not matter what order you use for the attacks - just keep track.
The game designer posted a few more spoilers for the next War at Sea expansion, Condition Zebra. The two new units confirmed were the Short Sunderland Mk. I and USS S-37.
For more information, see:
The revised starter for A&A Naval Miniatures will include a new rulebook that incorporates the rules update/clarifications as well as rules for night battles and long-distance battles.
The new starter comes out Mar 19, 2010.
@Deaths:
Graf Spee and Adm. Scheer are both considered Cruisers for WaS. And all they were was Heavy cruisers IRL
The fact the classification on the card states “Ship - Cruiser” does make a difference in gameplay since some special abilities only apply to cruisers. Also, since they are not classed in the game as Battleships, you would not be able to use special abilities with negative or positive impacts on battleships.
