Today Wizards of the Coast and Avalon Hill announced all of the upcoming Axis & Allies Miniatures releases for 2007. The released will include the new Expert rules and two new expansion sets. The new expansions will have fewer units per box and will cost $9.99.
The first annonuncement was for the Axis & Allies Miniatures Expert Rules, which has been under discussion on the Avalon Hill boards. The Expert Rules will be released with new maps and 8 scenarios on June 22nd, 2007. Next, will be the "Axis & Allies Miniatures 1939 – 1945" starter and booster sets consisting of pieces from all the previous sets. Some of the pieces will be repainted and the Soviet T-34 will be an uncommon unit. "Axis & Allies Miniatures 1939 – 1945" will be released on September 28th, 2007. The final release will be "Axis & Allies North Africa 1940 – 1943" consisting of fan requested units and units repainted for the African campaigns and will be released on December 7th, 2007.
It looks like it will be an interesting year for Axis & Allies Miniatures.
