In my previous article I outlined an Allied strategy. Imperious Leader asked about German counters to it which generated much of what is here in a rougher form. First off I think that the Allied article is a counter to this. Germany is the hammer in Battle of The Bulge and here’s how I think it best they pound nails. Discuss this article in the forums.
The Larry Harris Tournament Rules version 1.3 are a set off rules for Axis & Allies Revised that are commonly used in tournaments and other game play. The rules were created by Larry Harris, the creator of Axis & Allies and has additionally been worked on by several players and tournament game masters. The work continues at Larry's own site Harris Game Design.
First, I want to thank djensen for thinking this held enough merit to be posted to
the main site. Second, I want to thank Imperious Leader for his request for Allied
strategies. That request motivated me to type this up. Finally I want to thank my
usual opponent whose skillful execution of this strategy gave us hope that the
Allies have a chance. This is still an unproven strategy and I am in the “the game
is slanted to the Axis camp” but it is the only thing that we’ve tried that has
come close (perfect dice on the last roll for the axis win close) of beating
Germany. Discuss this strategy in the forums.
