I think it was disabled because that picture was not allowed. You can make it your avatar however.

Yes, the coding for external images to be displayed was disabled.

We recently had a number of porn-bots and spam-bots get onto the site (Yanny and DJensen have been scouring the membership lists trying to purge them and block repeats).  But in an effort to prevent non-family friendly images from potentially being displayed, the site no longer will hot link to any external image.

You can still upload avatar images and they will be seen (since they are stored on site).

Well, you guys are doing a great job of finding the offending pics, because I've seen none.

Too bad I can't post images for humor effect anymore.  cry

You can still "attach" images to you posts. The image should be viewable.

Mech, it had nothing to do with your signature. I thought they were a little big but besides that they always look very well done and it good taste.

I increased the size of the avatars to 100x100 so you have a little more room to be creative.

Are those images from a particular game, Mech?

Yes they are.  The Russian soldier with the PPSh smg is from Red Orchestra (you can find it at the main site.)  The Katyusha rocket launcher is a loading screen you get when you play 2 Russian versus German maps in Battlefield 1942.  Together, with my name in the corner..........makes for extreme pwnge.

I was going to say, I didn't think they were from the same game.  The guy looked way too RO model to not be that, but I didn't catch the BF42 model.
