hi guys, i was wondering if anyone can give me the low down on A&AE advanced. I have seen pics of the new board, but can't find any info on how to get it. Does it come with new ref cards, pieces, updated rule book, etc.. or is it something you have to get off the net.

any info into this topic would be most helpfull.

thanks.

Hi
i have asked the exact same question previously and spent ages searching the web for the game.
However, the new map has been done by enthusiasts and is not an official release. There are various links on the web for a picture of the map, starting positions, new rules etc. I was told to print the map off myself, but i like to play official games. Also, printing them never looks good enough to play on.
There are also new units - fortification units (these increase an infantry defending to a roll of 3). Without official units you would have to make up some way of including these units.
There is no mention of a new AAE release on the official website. The local guy in our shop who is up to date on these matters, said he is not aware of any new release.
Annoying really, as the new map, rules etc that people are posting on this advanced game actually look pretty good.

IL

This is a picture of the map from Boardgame Geek. I'll post the sites with the starting positions, unit descriptions etc, once i've been back through and found them again. (It was a few months ago that i was looking this up)
