Let these three Infantry stay put is the best option.
Egypt: If Italy really want to get Egypt, you need every unit for defence. Especially if the Taranto-Raid did not occur or failed. Needless to say that they should be the first casualties. Sorry lads!
Persia: A nice idea. But UK needs the 2 IPC’s and the place for the IC. Australian money should be invested in a fleet (sub’s?!) to harass the IJN and the Japanese convoys.
Malaya: Since it took too long to move this guy to the “Treasure Islands” (aka Dutch East Indies), let him dug in and wait for the Japanese invasion.

sub transport with 2 inf dropping on island, island defended by 1 sub. Does the sub deny my landing? Do we fight it out (he can submerge thus my landing goes or fight it out and win/lose thus possibly deny landing? How does t his work?
I just assume the sub fights the sub if he wants to deny my landing.

I think the rule to escort TP and ignore enemy Subs in SZ is only at least 1 warship escorting.
It is not required to be a surface warship.
So, no need to fight this Sub. -
That is right. It cannot choose to fight, if you choose to ignore it.
However, if the defender could scramble , the Sub surfaces. -
If the defender scrambles, the defending sub is obligated to surface and fight?
-
It does seem weird, but I thought I remembered Krieghund saying that. I will ask Panther if he remembers.
-
If the defender scrambles, the defending sub can’t be ignored by the attacker. It’s still up to the defender whether the sub will fight or submerge.

And this is because there is no destroyer present. In any case like this the defending sub will have the option.
-
Good to know. Thank you for watching the boards so vigilantly, Krieghund.

Would only really happen if sub+air+tt is brought to land from a SZ which can have a scramble. Possible, just not very likely.

I’ve seen it happen multiple times in SZ6 around Japan, where a massive US-fleet first sends precisely those units ( sub+air+tt ) in an amphibious assault because they can’t be targetted by kamikaze. After the amphibious assault, the rest of the fleet moves in during noncombat.
