Please join us for our annual fall event beginning Friday, October 5th at 9am through Sunday, October 7th at 12pm at the Cool Springs East Club House in Franklin, TN, 20 minutes south of Nashville.

Cool Springs is a developed area with a number of restaurants and hotels nearby. A quick Google search of hotel room pricing ranges from $86-220 per night. The cost for attending is $10 per day or $20 for the entire event.

We will hold the following Tournaments:
Axis & Allies Global
Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition

Naval Mini players are available upon request.

We will have a number of other games available for free play, Axis & Allies Classic, Axis & Allies 1914, Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition, Settlers of Catan, Twilight Imperium and others. Please feel free to bring other games as well.

There will be a games of Secret Hitler in the evenings.

The Club House includes a fridge, oven, stove, and microwave. Please feel free to bring your own food & drinks or plan to take breaks and visit the nearby restaurants. If you plan to arrive early Thursday evening, please let me know and we can see about getting into the venue early to set up.

Hello all I’m looking for any place there are going to be axis and allies tournaments in 2017.

Finally posting after lurking for almost a decade now.  Hi everyone.

There’s going to be a Revised (2004 Edition) tournament at the WBC tournament this year (It’s an annual boardgaming/wargaming tournament/convention.  They typically play Avalon Hill and GMT games.).

The tournament is going to be from Friday, July 21 (Preliminaries) until Saturday, July 22 (Semifinals/Finals).  The convention itself is continuing for the rest of the week (July 22-30).
The format uses a unique ruleset to make the game playable in a limited amount of time.  I can post the rules if you’re interested.

US was kind of one dimensional in this game. But I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Well witt - it seems that to maintain my 100% record I will have to avoid ever playing 1914 with you! Actually - it will probably mean never playing anyone!  :roll:

My West Russia miscount was a disaster for G and absolutely the biggest error of all errors in our game. Just amazed that after that the axis both gained a second opportunity (that failed) to take Moscow and even so successfully kept R bottled up for sufficiently long for a replacement G European stack/threat to be in place.

After the West Russia disaster I thought I had lost. Either that perception of impending doom was wrong (as I know you believe) or the axis military commanders played a blinder to claw back a draw, with their own “hopes” of final victory. I quite like the second interpretation! :-)

After the West Russia catastrophe I couldn’t afford too many more mistakes and think I pretty much managed to avoid them.

What would have happened if I had not bogged up in W Russia? I probably would have discovered another game changing error to make instead!

Looking forward to our next game. We’ll see how I manage to bog that one up! :roll:

I live in southern California and would be interested in a face-to-face game. I know a friend or two of mine would be interested as well.

Also, I attend all the events in LA listed by Squirecam. The A&A tournaments usually have 8 to 12 people attend/play. The person who runs the A&A tournament let’s the players pick what version of A&A they want to play. Most people play either A&A Anniversary Edition or A&A Global 1940, Europe 1940 or Pacific 1940. Some players however, still play Revised Edition. The tournament starts at 9AM on Saturday and runs until Sunday night. Saturday consists of two games. Game one starts at 9AM and goes until 4PM. The winners from all the first round games, play against each other in the 2nd round games, which goes from 4PM until there is winners Saturday night. Usually 10PM to 2AM Sunday morning. Although I’ve seen games go until 4AM. Usually by 2AM a winner is called so people can get some rest for the next day. The final game to determine the winners(1st & 2nd place) starts at 9 or 10AM Sunday morning and usually goes until between noon & 4PM. The $40 is definitely worth a weekend of A&A play. I usually come Sat morning and stay until Sun night. I usually try to find players to play the A&A Global 1940 game, since it’s the newest game out. I have a friend of mine who usually attends with me and we’re always looking for new, good players.
