Hmmm… i am not sure if this is possible for the Axis, but there is only one way to find out. This game likely starts on Monday.

Units added in the bid can only go in territories and sea zones where you already have a unit from from that power. There is also a limit of one unit per territory. Otherwise, you would simply buy 26 infantry in Paris and I would congratulate you on the easy win.
Take your time deciding how you want to spend the bid.

The infantry in NG has been a strange exception to the bidding rule that is agreed to by half the players and disagreed to by the other half. I don’t know how it started or why so many people allow it to keep happening. It makes absolutely no sense to me to have that exception.
I wouldn’t be so worried about a G1 attack. That strategy only works half of the time when there is no bid. With additional Russian and other European Allied units, I don’t think there is much point in doing G1, only to fail when the main stack gets next to Moscow. I would not consider doing G1 DoW if you purchase additional Russian units.
If an 80 PU bid is inadequate with the rules that I stated, feel free to increase the bid to a higher value. We could go to 90 or even 100 if you don’t think that you can win with only 80 PUs of additional starting units.

I am sure that this game you will be very defensive. I bet you will purchase five infantry units for North America to make sure Germany and Japan doesn’t invade America. Three additional infantry in Australia and New Zealand are also great for defense. You can also buy 7 AA guns for Africa. That still leaves 21 PUs to defend other territories. Can I suggest a Russian carrier to protect those poor defenseless subs?

I missed moving one German sub during non-combat. I can do the edit during Japanese turn if you already started doing Russia. The dice were slightly above average but having an extra sub or two live won’t make a difference after the counter attacks.
