• Can someone explain regular dice vs LL dice. Yep I get one is luckier than the other. Also what dice can you expect to come in typical AA game? For example spring 42. And how would one know the difference between the two? Thx

  • In brief: “Dice” means accepting all the outcomes that are possible, so pure luck.
“Low Luck” means scoring according to the (statistical) probability - and leaving luck only to a (eventual) residual.

For example look at an attack with 6 infantries (hitting at ‘1’):

“Dice” means there may be 0 to 6 hits, although the probaility is 61/6=1 hit.
“Low Luck” means you score 6
1/6 =1 hit. No need to roll a single die, as there is no residual.

If you attack with 5 Infantries and 1 Artillery
“Dice” means 0 to 6 hits , although the probability is 41/6+22/6=8/6=1,33 hit.
“Low Luck” means you score 1 hit and roll one die scoring at 1 or 2 (the residual) … so one hit granted and a 2/6 chance to score a second hit.

Just enter “low luck” into the search bar, and you will see a lot of postings concerning this subject in case you want to go deeper in it.

    HTH :-)

  • Thx, very helpful to this nb.
