I see the 3 fighters 3 tacs to 110 a lot (with the 3rd tac from Berlin) with 2 subs. I think because 110 can go ugly if Allies scramble, so you want to present a strong deterrent.
Then 1 fighter 1 tac, with 2 subs and the battleship to 111.
How to split the strategic bombers between these 2 sea zones is another question. If its LL, and you want to strafe 111, then you gotta be careful not to go in too heavy. I noticed a bug in the last tripleA, that is messing with the strafe in this sea zone, when the subs survive. It’s listed in the bug reporting section now I believe, hopefully cleaned up soon.
I still think there’s something to be said about sacrificing the sz 117 sub into sz 109, just to force a scramble there instead of 110. But I don’t see many people doing that these days. I guess 106 is just too tempting to be ignored haha.
Don’t feel bad dude. I didn’t realize that Mech could move 2 spaces by themselves into combat (when not paired with a tank) until like last year! I thought it didn’t matter if the territory you passed through was friendly, that they still needed a tank. The whole time I read “blitz” generically as “moving 2 spaces”, as opposed to the more technical definition of blitz, as a movement 2 spaces through an empty enemy territory. Talk about messing with the German opener hahah. That one fried my brain for a good couple months, thinking of all the games Germany didn’t bring Mech to S. France without a tank to accompany, because I thought it’d be an illegal move otherwise!
:-D
