• The PTR- Economical/Political-Collapse system is really a step forward and useful in this game in case of most powers.

Germany is different. It starts with the most powerful army. It can easily march into their enemies home tts and will (if not played by an unlucky coward) hold them for just enough turns.

In the real war Germany asked for armistice while standing on enemy soil, without enemy soldiers in its homeland (forget the Sundgau). Flashman prefers a morale tracker which would be the fairest solution for every nation, but I think it could be a little bit complicate for an gameing evening including much beer etc…

Why not say Germany has to ask for armistice if OE and AH have had an political collapse? Standing alone against a world of enemies will bring morale down even if the Germans hold Moscow at the moment.
    Same for OOB:
Allies win if two CP-Capitals are captured (none of them has to be Berlin).
Otherwise Paris or London are still musthaves for the CPs to end the war.

Even if Germany occupies all of Russia and stands at the gates of Paris?

Historical, I suppose; though the German army was being driven back out of Belgium and France when the armistice was signed.

But isn’t it really game over anyway with these two out of it; the Allies are doing pretty well to be occupying Austrian homeland tts.

Perhaps a simpler one-night solution is the most number of victory cities held (over starting numbers).

  • Maybe a morale tracker for Alliances instead of Powers.

When Capitals worth 12 IPCs together were captured, the alliance that lost these capitals has to give up fighting.
