@Panther Yes it seems the word “simultaneously” is the key word in the rule book, you wouldn’t be able to send tanks through the newly captured territory since all combat happens at the same time. Thanks for the reply the warm welcome and quick responses everyone.

can you move a tank one space into a unoccupied country, and then move it back to the country you attacked from and call it blitzing?

Yes:
A tank can "blitz" by moving through an unoccupied hostile territory as the first part of a move THAT CAN END IN A FRIENDLY or hostile territory
(emphasis mine).One of the
gotchas
of doing a blitz, is that any facilities such an an Air Base, IC, or Naval Base, will block it, so if a tank enters a territory that contains any one of these things, it has to end its turn in that space.
