  • Well that was a terrible opening battle….


  • How do I do this now? I tried downloading the game but nothing happened.


  • do you have the map for version 5? (That’s 42.2)…once you download the game, you can download maps.  There should be a option to download maps on the main screen once you open it.


  • I have the map. I just dont know where to go to play our game? how do you do this? Can you walk me through the steps?


  • Easiest thing is to open the file in my Russian summary…open it with the Triple A.  When you get to the menu, click the third option PBEM…that should load the game.

    If you mess up during the game, there is an edit mode, but if you initiate combat, it would mess things up, so its best not to do this during this time…usually you see a NCM you forget to do…so you make the edit, or you edit the other guys because he told you that he forgot something.

    Just ensure you post the turn summary (ensure top 3 checks are marked) after you place your units.  Once you’ve posted, you can exit the game…we can use this for a good learning for TripleA so if you ever want to play Global, this will be good for you…

    For Subs, they offer the option to submerge or retreat (except when DDs present).  So prior to the combat rounds, if you are in that situation, use the post combat summary and ask in the forum if I choose to submerge or fight.  For me, somethings can be easy for me.  I always submerge at PH.  If I’m being attacked by like 2CV, 2BB, 4FTRs and all I have is a DD and a SS, I’m going to submerge because at least the SS can die in a later battle.

    Hope this helps…if you make mistakes, don’t worry…just consider it practice, keep asking questions, learn, and have fun…I’m not going anywhere

    I had a lot of problems with this myself.

    • Start TripleA
    • Pick Load Saved Game and choose the file you want to open
    • Pick Start PBEM (Play by email/forum) Game (this confused me since you are continuing, not starting, a game)
    • The next screen should include an interface to confirm your login and password for this forum so that you can post your turns
    • Hit Play and the game should begin

    Every time a player finishes their turn (or possibly more often, depending on the settings that were used) you will get an option to post the latest results and saved game to the forum.  Make sure you post at the end of each country’s turn before moving on to a new country, if you are in control of some that will play in a row.

    You can see the download link in tiny print at the bottom of the post listing all the stuff he did during his turn.  This is the link to the saved game file that TripleA creates when you tell it to post the current state of the game to the forum.

    You can’t open the file directly.  You have to save it locally and then open it from TripleA as I outlined earlier.
