I am new to this site and to A&A in general. The only rules set that I honestly feel comfortable with so far is Spring '42, but I know that LHTR and Revised aren't too terribly different. I have never played a full game of A&A, and I have never played even a partial game through PBF or PBEM.

That being said, I am looking to cut my teeth on some A&A. I am open to PBF or PBEM, whichever my opponent is more comfortable with. I seek an opponent that can thoroughly trounce me while keeping the kid-gloves on somewhat. I want an opponent that will be patient with a new player and can help me develop strategy. I do not expect to win or even make my opponent break a sweat. Playing against me will require a bit of hand-holding, but I am a fast learner. I have no preference to a certain side or power.

If you are interested, you can reply here or feel free to drop me a PM. If you don't wish to play against me, but you still want to help me learn, feel free to school me up. If you want to ridicule me and call me a newb, feel free. Sticks and stones will break your bones, but this Marine fights with a rifle. Wink

I'll take you on Marine.

But more importantly... I'll teach you along the way.  If you listen to me before you get into bad habits, you're level of success should be higher. Smiley

I sure am. Just tell me what I need to do to, and we can get cracking.

Go there, follow the instructions, and get TripleA installed on your computer.

I've already installed TripleA, and I have fiddled with it a bit. I have been playing a few rounds on LHTR settings, sans tech, but I am not sure which of the games is supposed to most resemble Spring '42, if any of them are meant to.

Ah my good friend.

They had to change all the names...

It's no longer Axis and Allies,  it's WWII

Spring 1942, is WWII version 4 I believe.

Shall I start us a game thread?  actually... I just will.
