Here's an idea I had of how to provide the tools for anyone to play AAM online here on A&A.org. Below are 2 links to download of a blank map and photoshopped mini's ready to post and play.

1. Download Gimp for free here: http://www.gimp.org/downloads/
2. Install Gimp and open the program.
3. Open the 2 files you downloaded and saved on you computer.
4. Simply click and drag the text and mini's over to the blank map and position them where you want.
5. Save the map as a jpeg for turn 1 or etc.....
6. Post as the attachment or Image code in the game thread and your good.

Simply delete images and texts as units are destroyed and preserve the master .psd file as you will return to it each turn to edit the map. You will notice my set-up is a bit different than other versions of P-b-P as It shows vehicles in one of their 6 facings rather then a generic pic. This visually makes it easier to play because the facings are true and correct.

Maps: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28096553/Winding%20road.final.psd

Units: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28096553/ace%20Vs%20Ober%20winding%20Road.psd

I would like to hear opinions on the idea.

We used to play A&A Minis here all the time using this tool:

http://motcreations.com/mv_overview.html

Which looks like this when you play it:

The map/unit packs (modules) are pinned here:

http://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=10782.0

And a guide to adding new unit images and maps is pinned here:

http://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=11595.0

And I could desperately use the help of any skilled in image editing to add more units and maps!

Its very interesting software. I guess the issue with me are facings of the units. The generic pic of the unit just doesn't do it for me as I prefer true facings in the 6 sides. But thats just me others may be very satisfied wth the software.

Here is a link to a gallery of maps I have made which you are more than welcome to use. You will find most of them in Rebels Carto link he posted.

We used a facing indicator (the blue dot / sphere graphic) to denote which hex edge a vehicle is facing.  But if there is a lot of demand I could add support for multiple images per unit and then the user can select one that is pointing the right way.

Isn't this what you used when we would play on Underground?
