Hey guys, I was wondering what you think is the best Allied aircraft that is not from Angels 20 and is not a jet ( Gloster Meteor). Leave a comment below to say what you think as well as voting.

Spit Ace for me. Pretty effective SA's and attack values.

I am  a huge fan of the spitfire but I would probably say the Mustang, just got one and the rockets give it an  edge over the Spitfire.

It has an edge in terms of the once per game rocket attack, but in terms of defense and range the Spit has the edge hands down, IMO. The AI attacks are identical but the AV is one dice better with the Spitfire Ace.

Alright first off I wanna say that I LOVE the spitfire. Smiley I usually use both in a UK/USA build.
But AV is not something you should be using with a fighter plane anyway.

Well here's the thing, theres not a lot of dog fighting with these planes in AAM. For the most part its the ground attacks that really matter, after all it a land game and ground units are what take objectives not planes. So the primary use for fighters is shooting down enemy ground attack aircraft after that they turn to attacks ground targets and the extra dice will make a difference in AV attacks. The game mechanics are really poor for the aircraft side of AAM, it was an afterthought or a add-on to the game.

i like planes a lot in A and a  minis, but the rules are a bit wierd. that's true, but there's plenty of infantry to attack.

I voted for the Spit Ace.  Since is has both Agility and Ace it's able to cover a very large area and protect any Typhy's or Artillery you bring.

I voted the same way, for the same reasons, but don't forget the new A20 planes, some are pretty good! Cheesy
