Now that we're hosting AACalc here on Axis and Allies.org, I wanted to start a new discussion for feature requests, bug reports, or brainstorming.

I forked Greg's original GitHub project, integrated the most recent version, and made a few small changes of my own.

The new GitHub project is here: https://github.com/djensen47/AACalc

A bit of window dressing maybe.  The bar charts are handy but since they are vertical, large battles require some scrolling up and down on the page to capture the all the information.  Chart controls are fairly straight forward in VB.  The only suggestion I can come up with is to use a line chart going from right to left rather than a bar chart going up and down.  Even a bar chart going right to left would make the page more compact.

Thanks for all that you do!

VB? C'mon, this is the internet here. HTML5 is the way to go. wink

But I see your point. Some canvas-based graphs would be awesome.

Check out http://code.google.com/apis/chart/interactive/docs/gallery.html

Rather than writing your own in Canvas just gather the data and let google render it!

My point on VB was not to use it, but rather ease of use in a language I am familiar with should translate into other languages, a control is a control.  Besides, if somebody was paying you $$ an hour to use an abacus I am sure you would use it too!  Personally, I hate microsoft and VB like most languages lets you be sloppy.  Now ADA, that is an anal retentive language.

I do not usually play the game by email or forum, but I still like this.

Does anyone know of any updates to reflect the units of G40?
