Hi! I just figured that there already seem to be pretty good summaries of LHTR vs. the original Revised rulebook. LHTR seemed like the best comparison point since those transport rules seemed to revert largely back to the timing in Classic.
Plane Movement over Suez Canal
-
I know that there’s a landbridge between syria iraq and africa over the suez canal. But when planes move from africa to iraq (or vice versa)do they lose a movement point by “flying over the water” or do they also take the landbridge as the ground units do?
-
I believe plane movment over the canal is the same as land movement across it.

Yes, movement over the Suez Canal is a wierd one. We always play it as Egypt-Iraq = 1 movement, Red Sea-East Med=1 movement and vice verse–so its a kind of crossroads. Panama is wierd too, with the Naval aspect at least. I just drew a short line between the two land territories and made the two seazones separate, to reflect the rules.
