Kobu vs. JamesAleman G1940 Alpha+.2


  • Assuming no tech and a friendly game where mistaken non-combat, non-contested combat, etc. are forgiven if no impact on opponent moves already taken. Maps can be reposted with corrected moves, IPC counts, etc. IPC and combat mistakes are to be corrected at the earliest notice by either player.

    I’ve been doing play by email for 11 years and have a particular system I’ve grown to use. Combat moves and non-combat movement/placements on the map. Only buys spelled out for the sake of time and sanity. Any questions on movement, please ask. Assume planes are flown in the most economical or necessary manner to safely land.

    Rolls are attack then defense. They are typically rolled together to speed combat despite giving a slight advantage to the defender who would not normally know defense hits before taking casualties. Such is life. Subs and other attacks rolled separately and noted. Small, low hit percentage fights may be rolled in clumps with losses taken left to right (two subs vs. destroyer, first destroyer hit kills the sub rolling to the left). Loss order assumed for the most part. Exceptions for some naval battles and bombers as defense which have to be asked. I’ve started to put “!” on the map to mark battles. It’s nice, but not strictly necessary.

    Using Sgt. Wonko’s map v. 3.1. It crashes, sometimes often, so be sure to save if making complex moves.

    Also, I can be very friendly as well. Bear in mind this is my first forum game. I’m a tabletop player, and I always forget to scroll at times…I expect there will be times when I forget to do both sides of Russia and such…

    If you think I am not finished, just give me a heads up. I’ll do the same.

    If you forget something, and it does not impact a battle after my next posted turn, I am also flexible too. As long as its not a direct response to a multi-turn plan that hindsight would help you prevent and such. Or a response to a non combat move etc.
