problem playing A&A at the Zone on Win XP

Hey guys, hoping one of you may have some advice.

Subject says it all. I am running Win XP home ed and can't seem to play A&A via the zone.

I can play single player missions no problem but when I try to run or join any games on the Zone it won't load to the country select screen and I'm kicked back to the game room.

Running DX 9.0b and Nvidia 45.23 det drivers.

Any tips to get A&A running via the zone would be great! thank you!
