I ordered East and West years ago. The pieces I got were cheap. All the infantry was the german infantry. All of the units were from the original Axis and Allies mold. If you want a cold war game it is a good game. It would be cool if someone would buy him out or merge with him to make it better pieces wise. Hope this helps.

I also ordered East & West some years ago, and the pieces I got were identical to the ones used by Xeno Games in its various WWII games.  Xeno's pieces are low-budget versions of the sculpts which came with the Milton Bradley A&A edition, except for the infantry pieces which, as GoSanchez mentions, are low-budget clones of the German troop sculpts exclusively.

cdl the game is a good game if you are looking for that genre. AA style system, nice map and cool rules. I only played it twice because I am not a big cold war game guy. If you want a game similar to AA with a cold war flavor this is your game. If you want this style I would say supplement your pieces with the upcoming ones from FMG. I mounted my map in a big pictureboard from Michaels. The board is about the same size as the original AA. Hope this helps.
