I think these pieces would be awesome. I know Fmg and HBG are doing pieces. I wanted to see if there was a market for these. Thanks for the info guys. Later

I see no way such a piece could accomplish any valuable use in the game.

Could you say a bit more about what these control pieces would control?  Would they serve to indicate who controls a particular territory, which is a function already served by the cardboard roundels that come with the games?

I don't know you could use them for elite armies like the SS, Pattons Army, etc. Personally I think it'd just be nice to have, maybe put it on top of your moniter  smiley

We use these like Pacific at War 2001 uses the Battlegroup Cards.  We place the Flags Guys on the board and have a Matching Card to the side with our Battle Group.

Forgot to add that this makes Europe less croweded.  Also, when you organize all your Blitzing Units in one battle group, then you can run all over Europe kicking ass and taking names.

Not at all.  As in Pacific 2001 you place all the Units on your card.  You place the (1) Blue Square Chip that is representing all those units on the board.  The Flag Unit is used in the same way. This unit represents all the units you choose to have in that territory.  It cleans up the board.  For Example: Instead of having (5) Tanks, (5) Inf, (5) Art. on the board, in a small territory, all  you place is your flag unit.  Off the board, on a Card that has the same Flag Design or Graphic, you place your units.

I understand now .. Used just like the TASK FORCE MARKERS.  That makes more sense than using them as Control markers.

I can see how this could be useful. I'm interested in seeing how this project will develop.

Yes, sorry for the confusion.  Like the Task Force Markers, however instead of Sea Units, these are used for Land Units.

My buddy made these out of Japanese Inf., if you couldn't tell.

Use them for large armies on the board if you like. You really don't need the FMG pieces coming out you just want them as I do because they are better than WOTC. It was a just a thought I think they would look awesome. It is purely eye candy on the board. Maybe use them as Victory city markers if you don't want to have that many of them on the board. After about 3 hours and 4 or 5 coctails I need an easy way to count them.
