I hesitated on making it a poll but the choices are still fuzzy and can depend on specific houserules instead of a generic mechanism.

And sometimes, the answer cannot fit in a single point.

You just introduce two kinds of air combat according to the grounds setting or the naval setting of the battle. Already outside the boxes.

To summarize in a different fashion:
Against ground: 1 single air-to-air phase with as many combat cycles required to get total air supremacy. Then regular combat follow.

Air phase values:
Fighter A1 D2 M4-5 cost 8?
Tactical Bomber A1 D1 M4-5 cost 10?
Strategic Bomber A1 D0 M6-7 cost 12

In naval combat:
All units has their OOB value
Fighter A3 D4 M4-5 any hit is applied to an enemy’s aircraft first if targeted,
Tactical Bomber A3-4 D3 M4-5, any hit is applied to capital warship first (Carrier, Battleship and Cruiser, if targeted)
Strategic Bomber A4 D1 M6-7, any hit can be applied to Submarines first.

1- All aircrafts roll dice, and target casualties.
2- Then all ships roll dice, owner choose casualties.
3- Remove casualties.

Is it right?

I’d like to play with the idea of added a General or ‘Hero’ to each country… Not giving them too much power but just to make things more interesting I guess… Any suggestions? Of course they cannot be bought again… Maybe raising the defence or attack of ground units…? This might’ve already been discussed before, if so a link to that thread would be appreciated. Thanks!  :-D

From my house rules, United Kingdom section:

2. United Kingdom (Europe) can transfer the IPCs it collects for the territories of Persia, Iraq, Trans-Jordan and Syria to United Kingdom (Pacific) under the following conditions:
• United Kingdom (Europe) must control the territories of which the IPCs are transferred.
• United Kingdom (Pacific) must control India (Calcutta).
• There must be uninterrupted Allied control tracked west from West India towards all the territories of which the IPCs are transferred.
• The following transfers of IPCs are allowed: Persia, Persia & Iraq, Persia & Iraq & either or both of Trans-Jordan and Syria.

League of Nations:

Political costs for a DOW along the Russian/Japanese border result in world outrage against the aggressor nation.

If Russia conducts a DOW against Japan, the U.S. will remain neutral 1 additional turn and will not interfere with Japanese aggression against UK and ANZAC in the Pacific since they are the “victim” nation. Fear of Communism fuels American pacifism and ties Roosevelt’s hands. The Japanese Ambassador exposes a (faked) “Caucasian” treaty between Russia, UK, and ANZAC dealing with the suppression and division of Japanese assets/territories.

If Japan conducts a DOW against Russia, the U.S. will remain neutral 1 less turn and they become a “friendly” power with the pacific allies, permitting the landing of US units on allied territories and providing sea units for a common defense until a formal DOW occurs between the US and Japan. These land and sea units upon meeting with allied forces/fleets change flags (I.E. swap US vessels/units with UK,China,USSR or ANZAC pieces) to maintain “neutrality”.

Also, damaged battleships shouldn’t be repaired until the start of the owner’s next turn.  It’s stupid that Brition can damage it, America can damage it and Russia can damage it all in the same round and it doesn’t sink when normally 2 hits kills it.

basically, you make little men out of celery, cherry tomatoes, and toothpicks! then you each set your general out on the road…if my general got hit first, then the other person would have to pour dressing on it and eat it off the road. lol, i wanna try it. tom green rules 8)
