Hold on, why did the allies lose just because they failed to take either half of Germany? Did they need to do so in order to prevent the axis from having 14 VC's?

Was Japan making 100+ ipcs?

Japan had just spent 88 IPCs, was starting an Australian invasion, Controlled China, India, DEI, Northern Russia, and was poised on the unprotected African and Middle eastern territories.  Planes and ground forces were beginning to poor into Russia, who would be on the defensive before a second wave threatened Germany.  The Axis had (or were on the verge of) a higher combined economy than the Allies, had more easy growth potential, more units on board, and were under no immediate threat anywhere.
