Given the choice, I'd avoid helmets altogether and go with beret for the Brits and that garrison cap (wedge) for the Yanks.

I agree. I'd use something like Monty's signiture red beret for the British, and either a garrison cap of a naval cover like MacArthur's for the Americans. I assume the Russians would have a fur cap and the French would have a Kepi, but what about the Italians?

I think what you are looking for is what the Bersaglieri wore.
A helmit with an arrangement of black fethers. Look it up on google.

Nah I think what he has in mind is actual a wedge-like cap but Il Duce seems to wear it square on his brow and so far down on his immense noggin that it looks round.

I get the impression that if he lifted it off, it could fold flat to lay one side.

Nah, a cowboy hat is more apropriate. Uniquely American, and better looking than Canada.

The Japs can just have a white bandana with the red circle of the rising sun on it.

I'm not sure who I will get to play with me, but I shall get AA Europe.  Family is so busy no one has made it up to my place to play and my wife politely declines to play with me, heh.

I never really played the first Starcraft, but a bunch of my friends do and are pushing for me to join them.  I'll be buying it and stretching my Starcraft legs for the first time!
