Would have loved to have commanded a Tiger company

A couple came in the restaurant last week and I heard a favourite sound of mine: a Southern(US) accent. I asked them where they were from. They answer: "Have you heard of Manassas?"
... So, as tomorrow is the anniversary of the 1st battle, how about this: who is your favourite Brigade commander present that day?(Can choose a Regimental one if you want.)
I will plonk for that foul mouthed, drinker and brawler  who by sheer luck found himself in the right place and knew how to  make the most of it: Col Nathan G (Shanks) Evans of SC.

2nd Manassas at the end of the month. Who would not choose to be Richard Stoddert?
Or would you choose John Bell Hood?
Surely no lovers of.... John Pope?
