Observing Online Games

Hello all -

Rediscovered the game the past year and think I might be ready to tackle online play.  Is there a way to observe games in progress online?  On any of the various A&A online sites?  My hope is to learn a bit from actual play so as to not die too soon!  Just to see how people manage things mid-game - say rounds 3-7 or so.
