Hello, first of all I'm sorry if this is considered spam.

I'm a big fan of the Axis and Allies Revised edition and the anniversary edition looks like a lot more fun to play, but whenever I look for it online I can't find anywhere it isn't sold out. And where it isn't sold out it's listed for prices like 500 $ and the like. Any advice?

options:

1) check local stores. the cheapest I have seen it online was for approx 300 USD

2) many people on these forums have multiple copies and may wish to part with one

3) download the rules from wizards, download AABattlemap and play by forum

Excuse my noobness but what is AABattlemap and where can I find it? Tongue

Separate question, if anyone who reads this wants to sell any extra box they have of the anniversary edition for a slightly less ludicrous price then feel free to send me a PM.

Halow,  Battlemap is a program which lets you play various versions of AA by forum or e mail. You can move units around ,add and delete them as necessary to reconcile the gameboard, and pass the map back and forth following each turn as an attachment. the link is here:

lolz... this is why I live in Canada  cool

Most of the stores I go to that are into selling board games, fantasy accessories, and RPG's have these in limited stock. But they still have them, usually at $129.99 CDN

Hmm... I live close enough to the border that such a trip may be worthwhile...

Just get the new ones coming out soon.  Sounds like they're going to improve a lot on AA50 anyway.

Or I'll wait for the reprint, if that is actually happening.

I paid about that for my second copy in the spring - about $150 after taxes.

The game is still sealed in its original shrink.   I am willing to sell it but might prefer to trade it for a game (or games) of roughly close value.  The games I want most are listed here on BGG:

Cheers.
