I'm looking at an auction for Chinese and French counters for the original A&A by Nova Games.  I vaguely recall being under the impression that the pieces were made but the rules and set up charts were never completed.  Does anybody know for sure about this?  I don't think I want to spend money on pieces I can't play with.

The Question is does it come with rules and set up charts or just pieces?

I couldn't find anything available on the internet. Maybe you could call and ask the people that are selling it.

I have the Nova Games version and two sheets of those counters. Rules/Setup was never released for them.

Why would somebody make expansion pieces and not provide rules? Did Larry make these?

Nova Games was the original publisher of Axis & Allies (before Milton Bradley). They went out of business, and these counters were made shortly before going out of business. Only Larry would know what rules were intended for these....

That's because they are OOP and collector's items, just like that Honus Wagner baseball card.
