Not feeling good about this. I can't launch A&A 98 on my new computer that runs Windows XP. Other computers launch off my disc. They all have older versions of Windows. So I downloaded the 4.2 patch. Same dawgone problem. Anyone, I'm desperate for some A&A. haven't played in years. Need some help please?

Not sure the CDRoms work anymore, Sleem.

You can get a free replacement which is called TripleA.  The artificial intelligence is completely stupid, but then again, the CDRoms were not the smartest opponents either.

Nice thing about TripleA is that it supports the other editions of the game (Iron Blitz, Pacific, Europe, Revised, Anniversary, etc.)

There's a gaming club that uses it.  Never been there, I don't use it myself except to try out certain things on my own time against myself.  Most of the gaming community uses ABattlemap, but that program won't roll the dice for you and it's not as "pretty" as TripleA. (Much more stable, just not as pretty.)
