Blockhouse replacement

There is one axis tactic card that says something along the lines of "Replace one blockhouse on any area with a silhouette or something like that" It is rather vague and we were not sure if it meant replace all blockhouses with a missing silhouette or you just chose one? Clarification would be greatly appreciated.

You replace one blockhouse but only in an area with a silouhette--can't put a blockhouse in Caen for instance.

I've played that it has to be in an area that has lost a blockhouse but I don't know if that's official. There is nothing in The D-Day FAQ.

Yes, it's official.

Do the blockhouses, which presumably face towards the sea, fire upon troops/tanks which enter that space not from the sea or beach?

In land combat, they can fire on any enemy units that are in the same zone.  It doesn't matter where they came from.
