the manual says that you can't take over convoy centers or routes during non combat movement.  Does this mean you can't take over the Alaskan convoy by just moving your Japanese carriers into the space?  You have to engage the american fleet with the carriers in order to take it over?  I guess it doesn't matter too much anyway, the Americans will get back the lost ipcs from the Alaskan convoy.

You just gotta move it in on the combat phase.  It's like taking an empty enemy terrotory.
