Hi there. I’m here to see if anyone can direct me to someone, someplace, that has all the retired links that were found on axisandallies.com. Specifically, the miniatures maps such as Juno, Pegasus, WXYZ, Riva Bella, & Fox. It seems that all but the Omaha map files I downloaded got corrupted. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

What does bb mean
-
sry i feel like a retard but people say BB some times but i dont no what it is the abrivation for thx
-
BB stands for Battleship. Don’t feel bad, these things happen to all of us.
-
thanks a lot you no BB at i thought it would be bs sry
-
It probably would be bs if bs weren’t another term that isnt the nicest thing you can say, lol.
-
ya i no i have a freind whos inationals are bs we call him bs bernard lol
-
reminds me of a similar quandary, namely the proper identification of “SOS”
Do the initials refer to a universally recognized plea for assistance,
or do the initials refer to the graphic description of a universally boring army menu item?
-
on the game boards SOS refers to the SOloman island Seazone
these geographic acronyms can be found on the AAMC’s map. -
has anyone here seen the strange righting in australia[game map]
-
What do you suppose – is it aboriginal petroglyphs?
Whatever its deep hidden meaning, I am sure Nostradamus predicted it would appear on the A&A map!
-
it says-“mangiai” in the south-east corner
-
Well, it apparently doesn’t mean “battleship!”
mangiai translates as “I ate” in Italian – so you go ahead and figure that out for us, GeZe!!
(or search it combined with “Australia” on Google, and have the same fun I did!)
-
maybe its the name of the guy who made the map
-
Actually, tis an ancient Etruscan battle-cry!
You know, the sons of Nippon cry out the sacred “Banzai” when they charge into battle.
For crusty old Italians, the call of the warrior is “Mangiai” or “I ate!”
(“Did you?”)
I think for old blue-skinned Scottish Highlanders the equivalent is “Maltai” or (“Let’s drink!”)
– but I wouldn’t bet my last haggis on that
-
its in australia not Itly.
-
I copy dat – but they speak English in Australia, and “mangiai” ain’t English.
It is a word in Italian, though, and Italians have been turning out pretty good maps ever since Amerigo Vespucci. (God Bless Vespucciland!)
-
Still, it is conceivable that mangiai is some kind of phonetic representation of an aboriginal word.
Why not ask Avalon Hill?
