Axis & Allies / Axis & Allies Spring 1942 Edition / Re: Can Tanks move 2 areas in Non Combat Movement phase ?

Tanks can move up to a maximum 2 spaces in any given turn but if they have moved in combat, they cannot move in non-combat afterwards.
They can "blitz" through unoccupied enemy territory (thus taking the territory) and into an adjacent territory, enemy or friendly (conducting combat and/or ending their turn in that 2nd territory) in the Combat movement phase or move through a friendly territory and into an adjacent enemy territory and conducting combat (not blitzing, just moving 2 spaces).
Alternately, you can move them 1-2 spaces in non combat (if they didn't move in combat) through friendly territory.

Email jeremy at fieldmarshalgames dot com with your order information (include as much detail as possible such as name, address, order date, what you ordered) and he should get back to you asap. It is new years, so it may take a few days for him to sort through all the mail he's likely recieved over the holidays!
Hi I tried to email FMG, I cannot find any email address on FMG website. What is the exactly email address to Jeremy at fieldmarshalgames.com ? Hopefully my order is on its way, but it took very long, because of that I really want FMG to check that my order is sendt and on its way. That is his email address. I just didn't want to put in the @ and . for fear of spammers.

Are we allowed to have booze on site? (Nothings going to get out of control - but a rum and coke goes a long way to victory!) How many people came last year? If you FAIL to bring food, is there anywhere nearby enough to get some? Thanks for all your help.... Outside alcohol is not allowed afaik (They do have a pay bar that is open for a few hours each day). Numbers last year .. I can't remember, about 35 ish? Expected to likely be doubled this year though (Last years event was on the weekend at the end of March Break. Bad timing), especially with the miniatures guys coming. There will be the late night pizza, there will be chips and pop/water available. There's also a few places just down the road (Pizza Pizza, Subway, convenience store and a small restaurant). And if you're driving there are LOTS of places (both fast food, restaurant and grocery stores) between the highway and the event site.

What are the amenities? Refrigerator? Microwave? Are there private rooms available for seperate team discussions? How is the parking? How is the lighting? Is the floor Lynolium/Hardwood/Concrete, or Carpet? Do you have any pictures of the venue? You may think none of these matter, but I have my reasons for asking And I appreciate any input from your "experience" last year. Refridgerator, yes. Microwave - I *think* so. Parking - TONS. Easily enough for 100+ cars (and the venue only holds 200 people?) Lighting - Good/Bright over most of the area. There is a raised section that has slightly dimmer lighting (with directional lighting aimed at a bunch of dart boards). Flooring - Hardwood over most of the area we use, carpeted on the raised/dimmer lighting area, linoleum (i think) at the entry/kitchen area. I don't know if anyone had the presence of mind to actually take pictures last year .. we were all so busy playing. lol.

I see in the small middle framed picture/ad there will be a midnight snack on Saturday night, so perhaps an all nighter? I adore the directions on the first small frame!
401 to Stevenson Rd (Go North) At the JET keep left At the TANK turn right. On your right.
Although being in the GTA is almost a stretch.
Funny enough those are the actual directions! Who could ask for a better location than that?? (and yes .. it's SORT OF in the GTA. Some people include Oshawa in the GTA, others end the GTA at Ajax) How comfortable is the seating?
Stackable (mostly) padded seats like you would find in most halls. You definately want to get up and move around once in a while but certainly not as bad as a folding chair would be.

They also said they would be able to complete the remainder for the sets in 2012 to complete the project if we gave them the contract. I hope there are some sort of guarantees or contractual obligations thrown into that if they get the contract. We all know how good they are at saying "It will be ready in X days" and then taking twice as long (or more).

Axis & Allies Miniatures / A&A Miniatures (Original) / Re: Why is Foruminis so much more popular than here?

While I would say that is generally true, there are far more active A&A Minis forums much lower on the list.
Low activity may partly be a cause of being lower on the listing, but at the same time the vast majority of people will click on the first link they're given without ever looking further down.
And as I said, it's only ONE reason. I'm sure there are others. Especially, as you mentioned Motdc, the mixed playstyles (board vs minis/tabletop) on this site with the board games being quite prevalent. That alone would tend to push some of the purely minis players away.
