I know I've read about these some where, I seem to remember it being 80d vs 120a  Defender sets up on the half of the map that contains the objective and the attacker has round 1 initiative.  I don't know where I read it though.
663  Axis & Allies Miniatures / A&A Miniatures (Original) / Re: French Alpine Troop on: March 10, 2008, 02:37:09 pm
Well I figured the two 38's would easily neutalize the Panhard.  The I would try for a flank with the 38's with the Pzr IVs backing them up.  With the Sniper head shot and Nebelwerfer I think I could take out the Char bis.  I think as soon as the Char bis are gone it's just a mater of mopping up.

I actualy don't like balancing armor and infantry in a 100pt build.  If I am assaulting I want and armor build, if I'm defending I want a static build.  Tanks are for attacking Indantry, at and mortar for defending.

664  Axis & Allies Miniatures / A&A Miniatures (Original) / Re: French Alpine Troop on: March 10, 2008, 07:25:02 am
I think if you use the Haupsturmfuhrer you should get initiative most of the time.  My stab at that frenchy build would be somthing like:

2 Elite Panzer IV D
2 PzKpfw 38(t)
1 SS Hauptsturmfuhrer
1 Nebelwerfer
1 Wehrmacht Sniper
3 Panzer Grenadiers

I would use the combination of Armor, Sniper and Nebelwerfer to get rid of the Chars as quickly as possible. It would be a tough fight I think.

I'd love to see some pics as well.  I like the idea of revealing the floors as they are entered.

I got that map shortly after it came out.  It's what got me even more interested in Stalingrad.  There were so many small intense battles inside of one large battle that it's perfect for my vision of what mini's should be.  I've wanted to play an afordable scale miniatures game ever since I played squad leader whan I was a teenager.

I have their stalingrad map, it's quite a bit beter than what comes in the box.  I like what they did with the 10m scale, but the map is too small.  I guess I can't be pleased.

I am going to pick up some 1/4" balsa wood and build a 4 story building.  If it works out I will do more.

I don't think using obama's middle name is worse than Obama's I'll fart peppermint if you vote for me speeches.  Or Chris Matthews Obama makes me cry crap...

It might be different if it were McCain getting jabs by using his middle name but I think you have to consider the source on comments like this one.

Obama's peppermint farts and the republican and conservative use of his middle name are both equally silly.

Elaborate more on the second statement, please.

What I'm saying is the people that are using Hussein are not the candidates themselves, the Candidates should be held to a higher standard, state your position and why you are the better person.  Irrelevant jabbering like the middle name thing is reserved for people who jabber protected by freedom of speech.  Political commentarists (is that even a word?) are free to say what they want it's up to the people to consider the source.

And what I mean by "peppermint farts" is promising something that is impossible to pull off, but sounds really great.  Like the Hillary promise to bring jobs to New York that didn't happen.  According to her it would have if Gore had been elected.  So in other words she made a promise and didn't make with the Jobs, but it wasn't her fault.  So all the super happy things that Obama is promising don't actually have to happen, because it's not his fault if they're not possible, he'll try really hard though.
