I understand the concept of evolution but I don't understand where the ameba came from.
Evolution would say that over generations of organizims they change to adapt to their enviornment and to improve survivability rates. So where life come from in the first place?
Don't get me wrong I don't claim to be smart or educated so maybe I was just sick the day at school when they went from the big bang how the universe and planets were made and came back to day they started in on evolution.

Other Forums / General Discussion / Whats with the dating adds on this site?

The first dating add I saw was for Russian girls. I thought well we probably use the word Russia a lot on this site so I let it slide.
The second one I saw was for Japanese girls. Well I'll let that slide for the same reason.
The third add I saw was for gay guys. Some of my wife and I's closest friends are gay so don't get me wrong but I thought that was kind of a leap.
Your thoughts, LT

Axis & Allies / Axis and Allies Revised Edition / Re: UK Pacific Fleet Unification

What if UK did a delayed UK fleet unification and put an IC in Borneo or East Indies? They would have to wait until SZ 37 was cleared.
PROs: They would have the secluded island apeal Australia has but have a higher production rate.
CONs: down fall you waist a few key turns early in the game 1) waiting for Japan to move 2) capture real estate 3) build IC 4) pump out troops. (If all goes well.)

I think it would have been a harder time for the allies but I don't think that they would have been pushed back to the sea. My reason for thinking this is b/c most of the Germans were on the radio asking for orders and not getting any answers. Very few German units acted on the own.
Not only that the farther into France they went the less likely the Germans were to even know the allies were even there. As you can see depicted in "Band of Brothers" when they stormed a farm house and the Germans were sittng down to breakfast.
The US on the other hand were throughly trained on what their unit was to do and also what other units objectives were. This played a critical role with the paratrooper miss-placments. They could find out where they were and assist the elements of the unit that was supposed to be there to acomplish their objectives.
So as you can see there were very diffrent schools of thought between the two sides during the Normandy invasion.
