I understand we were also talking about Moscow and Tokyo, but in that paragraph you wrote it clearly reads that the bomb dropped on hiroshama killed 250,000 and the bomb dropped on nagasaki killed 250,000 people. That is a false statement and its not right to say that I am taking anything out of context or that what you said meant something else

I understand that is not what you meant, but it is not my fault that what you wrote was wrong.

World War III is going to be from 2016-2018 and after a short lived cease fire continue in 2022-2026

World War IV will be from 2042-2053

have you seen pics of hiroshima or nagasaki (like the one I attached)?  those were one bomb, one city, quarter-million dead, several kilometers in all directions from ground zero obliterated...


LuckyDay, this is clearly a false statemen and that is fine, everyone on this fourm misspeeks all the time, but to continue to say it ins't or that it means something else is just stupid



Anyways we should be discusing the rules and it seems like you and me agree on them, I just want some option for attacking military targets even if it is not normally cost effective

In the real WW2, if Germany or Japan invented the nuke before the US they would most certainly win, unless the US managed to produce the bomb maybe a week after one of the axis powers got it.




You means the US would sue for peace,
 but you see nations in Axis and Allies never sue for peace they fight to the death.

well, i dont know.

I would say for game sake they cost 6 IPCS(inlands are stationnary carriers that have infinite capacity)

I would say airfeilds would add alot to the strategy and to the  historical feel of the game, maybe less to the realism.

I could see sub pens and fortifications being added though, the other stuff you mentioned I agree is bogus. I just think if you have ports it feels right to have an equivelant for air units.

Accidental Dice Throw
A giant die falls from the heavens and wipes out all units in a territory.  

I play with people who are serioursly challenged when rolling dice, this happens to me to much already.

i understand  cheesy, but you should understand that that these weapons were  not capable of that.

If you have to make a rule that these weapons can attack land targets then you do this:

roll 4 dice total = ipc in pieces lost.

example: you roll 18 total on 4 dice, and 6 infantry are gone.

This makes it more value to use against production targets, because you get one die that has lasting effects.

I like the strategic bombing rules

but although  atomic weapons are not the perfect ship killer, they would be much better against ships than ground units, if each ground unit represents an army then even four atomic weapons are going to have a pretty hard time of even destorying one of them.


What i suggest is a heavy bombers can choose to drop it in any combat round. The bomber rolls four dice and they hit on a four up. However after you drop a bomb in a land territory the battle has to immeditly stop and after the defender returns fire, the attacker must retreat unless he has killed all the defenders.

This is close to history and add strategy, what more do you want?
