15 for air and naval bases! what are all of their benefits?

I would use all Soveit units for France, except for the tank in which case they should use the british one.

I really hope france gets its own tank and navy though.

I'm not sure if this question is premature but does FMG have an idea on what they will make for the next batch?  I've been giving this a lot of thought.  I think perhaps technology units would be the most useful (Long range bomber, fighters, super subs, rockets and so on).  Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Yah peices for Jet Fighters, Long Range Fighters(like the P-51D mustang), Heavy Bombers, Rockets, and Super subs are long overdue, FMG should defintely make a set that included these.

Having peices like long-range jet fighters or long range heavy bombers is silly though, since their were no long range jet fighters and all heavy bombers were long range.

What other tech peices would we want? I would like a Radar Station, Rocket/SP Artillery, and an airborne infantry peice.

Try RISK, if you want simple games.  Handing Vichy France over to the Allies doesn't make sense.

well said

It seems china is still very week and Japan is able to aquire on unrealistic amount of IPCs.
It still looks fun though.
426  Axis & Allies / House Rules / Re: Urban territories on: December 07, 2009, 07:30:53 am
I am not so sure if urban areas caused increased causalty rates, they did certainly slow down attackes and were hard to take hold of and were a contributing factor in 200 day hell that was stalingrad.

Perhaps you could try limitng attacks on "urban" territories to one round of combat. Attacker fires, defender fires, and if the attacker has not won he must retreat. This would certainly make it more difficult to take these territroies and if would require that the attacker brings alot of firepower with them, so they can kill everything of the first round.

When my group plays AA50, we often limit the combat rounds too one or two, it allows for alot of strategy aswell as making room for rules that better represent tank warfare.

If your playing this rule with A&AEurope, I would predict that this rule is going to make moscow(which often has 30+ infantry in it) aswell as Leniggrad and stalingrad very difficult to take, so to make sure the game does not become favor the allies too much i would increase the German additional setup money from 12 IPCs too 20-30 IPCs.

I feel the solution is very simple, Larry said that he was going to have pro-axis neutras in the game, so the rule should be that when paris is captured all the french forces should become a pro-axis neutral.

I love the naval and airfield chips

I suppose they could also be used to designate naval and airborne infantry for house rules

My question is (and I beleive it has already been asked): What are those little squares with the Asian characters on them? I would assume they are Japanese and perhaps have something to do with Japanese Victory conditions, maybe like the VC chips from AA50? Otherwise they could have something to do with China...?

I am guessing that these are for the Kamikaze attacks.

I agree

So I can see a decent movie at the theater at least once a year.

Go see a documentary if you want honesty in a movie.  Pretty much every movie in the history of film is a story and a method of escape.

The Marines are exactly the same, same actress, his just trying to cash in, its all a cliche.

Every movie is trying to cash in.  That's the freaking point.

It dosnt make any sence,  like they say in the trailer their going up against gunships with bow and arrows. It less the movie has some clever way of them winning, the movie is just going to be about how although one side is weaker because of their goodness and desire to win they are vicotrious. Its a stupid nonsensical formula.

It's a movie, not a gameplan for your existence.

When i said i am trying to keep them honest, i meant that i want movies to be art not robberies. Did you really think i was talking about  accuracy in a SciFi movie. This is a SciFi film you know?

I dont like films that simply are made to cash in, i like films that are art. I can give you a number of reasons why I feel this way if you dont understand?

I dont  understand your last comment.

Im not uptight, i am tring to keep the film industry honest(perhaps its a lost cause).

Uh...why?

The whole movie seems like it is a rip off of Aliens(Cameron;s own film)

Uh...what?  It looks nothing like Aliens and how can someone rip off their own movie?

In all liklyhood  Avatar will have the smurfs win, further purging the story of any meaning.

Uh...how?

Yeah, the smurfs in the movie will probably put up a better fight than Norway did against Germany.

oh, that is brutal, such bad taste, i love it
