Sure, but all that would do is not allow germany to build anything there. not that big of a loss. If the russians were to take it back they would need to repair it before they could use it

If the Italian fleet is off the coast of Egypt the UKs CA and DD cannot attack it anyway. I like to use the German transport to take out Jordan on G1. Then I1 use all resources to hit Egypt. You get 3 bombardments, likely hitting 2. If they miss you are in trouble though. It's a risk I take because you get the 3 bombardments instead of a G1 attack on Egypt.
You only get 2 bombardments, you can't have more bombardments than landing units and since there is only 1 Italian transport that leaves you with at most 2 shots.

Has anyone tried to take out all the UK ships?
Sz 2 - bb, trn vs. 1 sub, 1 ftr, 1 bom Sz 9 - dd, trn vs. 1 sub Sz 12 - dd, ca vs. 2 ftrs
You can still take out the Sz 6 ship and I don't think this messes up Egy, if you were going to do that and sz 2 anyway. Obviously sz 9 and 12 are a bit dicey but you could really cripple the UK interms of transporting units for a rd or 2. Just wondering if anyone has seen this.
Assuming you get good dice

The word is pwn...or the past tense where it originally appeared....pwned. It orginated from the game Warcraft When you lost to the computer in a multiplayer game on a certain map the screen said so and so was pwned. It was a mispelling that has lead to its current use. And there's your gaming language lesson of the day

The Japanese monster is too much for the Americans to handle. The japanese navy is a juggernaught with 3 carriers and 6 planes, a BB and other assorted goodies. Sure the US can toss 40 or so IPCs at the Pacific but Japan has such a head start on a Navy AND has a mountain of money to keep building a navy equal to or greater than the American Navy.

I'm confused by what you mean.
But even if the attacker is on the shore or the defender is on the shore is not important in terms of how a battleship does a bombardment. The guns on a battleship are huge and they blow the crap out of the area. They can also shoot at long ranges.
In guadalcanal you don't even need to have an amphibous assault to fire on land units. Ignoring game balance this makes sense because those ships can park offshore and just rain down destruction on anything within range.

Sounds good. Ive never used the forums before but Im sure I'll catch on quickly.
Ill have the first move up within the next hour. I just need to get used to using Abattlemap and the forum.

I was accutally interested in a revised match, I dont think I can do classic.
So if you do indeed want to do a revised game with me (you can play jen if you want, it makes no difference to me) Whenever you are ready just let me know, Ive never done play by forum either so that will take some getting used to. I just need to know what we are going to do with the bids, dice roller and what not.
