Agreed. I just worked a concession at a Nascar Race, and that is all I dealt with... I had a ton of people ask me for beer. Pretty discouraging when your selling hot dogs...

They already have a French Branch...
Oddball's Love Fest and Organ Sharing Bizzare
Great little place, you get to wear Red Fez's and Drive Tanks. Bit pricey though, maybe another retreat? That one would actually require someone to bring an Axis and Allies Copy.

Yeah if they had actually supplied something to the American Culture that was more powerful then iconic only...
I like Christopher Walken Day, only though if he has to do his Stand Up Act on National Television. Then the day would be complete...

"Villa Midea" in Croatia, Dalmatia, Brac island. Room 205. When you get there, ask the receptionist for ext 2944 and say Filone sent you. No worries, she'll give you a key.

You neglected to give a date - or are you recruiting volunteers for the Croatian voluntary organ donor service? Alas no. I love the organization, but the "no-cheese-eating" policy is lackluster. I will give you a date as soon as I can finalize details with Filone... GG

Columbus Day seems like it should be more of a Hemisphere, with a motto that goes like "Thank God I'm not celebrating Divine Right of Kings Day".
MLK is celebrating the ideals more then the man. Whereas President's Day was created by Mattress Store Lobbyist to try and increase awareness of their place in the free market...

I'm sorry I haven't been around... Intro?
I am not hired help, and I love Axis and Allies. I tend to enjoy the "spokesperson" approach if you want to call it that. But to a group that has made a website the best of it's kind out there, that isn't hard, it comes naturally.
I joined this site in Aug. 2003 and learned most of what I know about the game from here. I joined the Moderating Team in Jan. 2006, when I had around 2000 posts. At the time I was still in High School so my contribution to the team was more steady. I have contributed to the main site, and hope to put more there in the future. At the end of the year though, I moved, and am now getting ready for College and I am starting a business, so that has drained my time. It has to the point where at most I was just moving threads in out of place forums.
But I'm trying to get more involved... Like this thread... I'm glad you guys who have joined in the last year have taken that initiative to keep the site thriving. When PD was active we had much content there and limited content elsewhere, but everyone coming in has stepped up and brought the axis and allies back into the forums as well as the older members. Lets keep this rolling, and the content out.
What I mean by limiting content on Political matters is not directly avoiding topics of that nature. IF you know what you are going to post is going to start a debate that ventures into the realms of politics, don't start it...

Hey Guys, I just wanted to throw this out here, since it has been noted that some of the threads here have turned political. Remember this is a General Discussion, covering any topic not addressed by another forum but not intended to drift into digressions and patronizing. As the mods we are attempting to allow as many threads through-way accessibility, but we are not going to sacrifice this on the altar of, "Political Discussion". If you feel a topic you are about to post might extend itself into a vein similiar to the one I addressed please reconsider your posting it, or possibly re-word it. Thank you...
You guys are the best forum members any team could ask for! Your content to this site and suggestions to make it better are invaluable. Keep it up!
Best Wishes, GG

Excuse Me? Coming from someone that spent his childhood and most of his teen years in RI, I must say that MA has much worse drivers... NJ is far worse then MA so lumping RI and NJ is close to sinning the unpardonable... The things RI'ers do that is unforgivable is fail to use turn signals, and they are pretty good with "parking spaces", unless they own a 50K+ car...
GG
Naw, the major problem with MA driving is all those RI and NJ commuters. MA is prolly 3rd on the list, tho. Only problem is all those "commuters" are MA license Plates...
