Other Forums / General Discussion / How much life do you have now? And how has it gotten better?

Apparently I have spent 20 days, 18 hours and 47 minutes on axisandallies.org... More if you count the time I was a big guest poster back in early '03. It's funny to think how little of a life I had back then compared to now though.
I was an introverted teenager with a love for the game and a wish there was more players. Now I'm at college, connected with a great social circle, and doing what I do best, getting my dream degree; And occasionally fitting in an Axis and Allies game when I can. Like... once a year!
I guess this thread is more focused at some of the older posters, cause I am hoping you can start out your first post with how much time you've spent on the site (you can find it in your profile). Doesn't matter how long you've been on though...
Just reflect back, how has your life changed over the last couple years? Happy moments? Regrets? Motivations that drive you? Share those if you want. I just thought it would be awesome to see how people reflecting back on life have changed.

Axis & Allies / Axis & Allies Spring 1942 Edition / Any major strategy changes?
|

Hey guys, I bought this for someone last week and we are playing it this week, before classes start. I've only played original and revised so I am wondering, are their major strategy changes I should think of based on any rule changes in the game? I've heard that subs are more powerful... That's about all I know!
Any help is appreciated...

Grizzly, That one cracked me up! Reminds me of another story I remember. The Japanese in Revised attacked the lone British Destroyer off Kwangtung. It took out like 2 fighters out of 3 fighters and a bomber before they sunk it. Some pieces must come out of the plastic molds with magnetic abilities.

I also recall a game of AA50 in which someone playing as Britian left 1 infantry and a fighter in England, and somehow left an opening for the 2 remaining German surfaceships(cruiser and transport) to pull off an Operation Sealion with 1infantry and a tank!
I hate those! Annoying buggers... GG

No He lived! Just before the Soviets took over his bunker he was beamed up by a UFO. The aliens injected him with Abiesium and now he is a super soldier on the planet Yolulu. Read your history people... Geez...
GG
Your making fun of people that he did leave. People that he left? What do you mean? And no, I'm just being sarcastic towards someone who doesn't believe he died. GG
