1568  Axis & Allies / Player Help / Another question about planes on: September 30, 2005, 12:29:22 pm

(I assume you refer to a SZ that has an AC) to land at...

I was under the impression that a plane can end it's combat moves in a friendly SZ (w/o AC in it) as long as I declare that an AC will move to pick it up during my NCM...

This is correct as well...

Quote from: Esys

You can choose any eligible (meaning within your Planes REMAINING range)

Meaning if I used 2 movement points to reach the contested territory, I have 2 more to move to a friendly territory to land?

This is also correct... ie you attack Western Europe from Great Britain and win the combat now your fighters can land in Great Britain and saying the following Territories are owned by one of the Allies you could also land in Algeria, Norway, Keraila, or eastern Europe... As long as those territories were not conquered by Britain this turn...

1. They remain there until NCM
2.  You can choose any eligible (meaning within your Planes REMAINING range) Friendly territory or SZ (I assume you refer to a SZ that has an AC) to land at...

OK... well you could go to

http://www.boardsandbits.com/... they ship internationally although you might be paying a bit for shipping (probably $15 US Dollars) but it is worth it...

I do not know of any retailers off-hand (Never been to HK wink ) but if you check your equivelant of the Yellow Pages you might find a Game retailer...

Also I do know here in the states it is in Toys "R" US which to my understanding you guys have as well... you might want to check there...

Hope it Helps,

1572  Axis & Allies / Other Axis & Allies Variants / Operation Citadel (kursk) on: September 27, 2005, 04:16:30 am
Thanks for the MAp offer but I think I would rather have the experience of designing it to full production...

I know  that nerberwerfer were available by Feb. 1943...

Remember it is not representing a whole unit of Snipers but Elite Snipers within a Division... It could also represent Heavy Machine Gun Battalions...
1573  Axis & Allies / Other Axis & Allies Variants / Operation Citadel (kursk) on: September 26, 2005, 06:53:24 pm
If you have random cards to drive play like D-Day I can give you an idea:

Specialty units:

Rocket Artillery, gets to roll 3 Dice

Snipers, Casulties cannot Return Fire

Reconnaisiance Vehicles, If the unit wins in a combat territory it can move again in equivelant NCM

Tank Hunters, Can Target Armor

Assault Battalion, When Fighting in City Zones they roll 2 Dice

just some ideas... But they are played like Tactics with a Twist... Each player gets a seperate list of Specialty units equivelant to the amount of Order Cards...  When a new order comes into play so is a new specialty unit... You can activate it if you choose... You can hold it in your hand as long as you like with a limit of 2 cards... when played the unit effects only the amount of units or battle limits allowed per what the card says...

Its funny cause I got on right now to research Market-Garden for the possibility of converting it into a "Battle Game"... Cool

Thoughts?

Yes especially if the US needs a launching platform to land planes during an Afrikan Campaign... although most of my games Gibraltar is held by that 5-man Ad Hoc Team for the whole war...
