No problem. I've been rusty myslef and been refering back to thier website several times this game.
FYI, on a double-move turn, if its not obvious of the order of the two moves, please denote the one that moved second with a double-arrow (two arrows) to mark that he went second.
Recall that a unit can only move twice in a row, and I find that I actually do bump into that restriction a couple of times in a game.
Thnaks!

No advance, you're up
(As an aside, I'm just making sure you know it is OK for infantry retreating to the reserve area to pass thru friendly units...Saw that the yellow retreat path markers all went thru clear-only squares and didnt know if it was coincidence or not)

The definition of Front (and Rear) is a good one. It's actually a bit convoluted...
A hex, obviously, is made up of 6 sides and 6 corners or vertexes. That's 12 locations so using a clock anology may work well.
In AAM, vehicles must "face" one of those sides. The "Front" includes:
1. That facing hex side (lets call it 12'oclock) 2. Going counter-clockwise around, it includes 11'oclock (the hex corner) and 10'oclock (the next hex sdie) 3. Going clockwise around, it includes 1'oclock (the hex corner) and 2'oclock (the next hex side).
So any LOS that passes through those hex locations (10'oclock thru 2'oclock) is to the Front.
The "Rear" LOS is just the opposite, so its 4'oclock thru 8'oclock.
Directly to the sides (3oclock and 9 oclock), PLUS the center of the clock (meaning within the same hex) is considered to not be in the Front or the Rear.
Confused yet?

According to M2A0, the new rules are finished. He said now it is just a matter of when the WotC guys will post on the website.... Should be up next week.
Hey Ducky, Are you sure this M2A0 guy is part of WOTC and not some jerk pulling everyone's chain. How come he doesn't have the "staff" title under his sign on. M2A0 is WotC staff. We all knew the revised rules were coming...

Yes, from a purely historical point of view, I can see your point. We know Poland got rolled, no matter how valiantly they fought. I'm really hoping I can tune this just right such that if the Poles are tenacious enough they can pull it out, against the odds. Something about standing up to an undenaible force makes it interesting to me... I still havent seen the Pole win though so I might need to adjust it a bit... At least the game isnt about killer units. Pretty much everyone can hurt everyone. No Tigers running around

Again, just make sure VASSAL is configuration-based enough. if you have to code to make changes then I'd look at one of the more polished products.
Battlegrounds has stated on their website that they are working on a wargamer-specific tabletop version of their software. Id be curious to know how that is comiong along...
That being said VASSAL has been around for a while and lots of games have been ported to it so I know its pretty solid.
