Why planes? FMG is going to give us all the air and naval units we'll need??? variations of land units I feel should take priority because as was seen in the FMG Italian set there are an abundance of air and naval units at the expense of armor and land units.
Remember, this is just a supplementary set. The bulk of the units will come from FMG's set.

banzai units in cap/helmet with sword and pistol. and infantry with rifle-automatic weapon. chinese units trucks, mech infantry, tac bomber, fortifications - sets would be in various colors: one color would mirror fmg's future units, red, burnt orange, blue/purple ( imperial guards/marines) and black (elite units) tanks. armored cars, artillery and planes -28piece total as in the minor sets.
these units would be great to add pieces and supplement such maps for okinawa, singapore and asia engulfed.

Thanks for the info, Knp. I guess I'll just have to use metal units that dont have fragile parts that jut out, like a bare halftrack.
P.S. I just purchase a package of French armor GHQ. "FR1" it came with large tank a smaller one and three half tracks. but you were right about the barrel. It came detached from the turret and and so thin and curvy that it was not salvageable at all. I'm sticking with plastic pieces as I said.

militaryman077, I will gladly do that after I get moved into my new house. Everything is in storage. GHQ is a US company and is fairly expensive to purchase and their barrels on tanks and artillery need TLC. Heroics and Ross and Davco/Navwar are English companies in the UK. Their products have less detail but they don't break as quickly as GHQ from rough handling. The UK companies cost less but, US Customs and shipping charges may bite you like a Great White!

Thanks, for the info. I guess I'll stick with plastic pieces.

Axis & Allies / Axis & Allies 2nd Edition / Re: Ger. and Am. piece colors switched!!!!

Good to know its common, I got my version back from a friend after a few years, when he had used the pieces to make his own board game. Getting my 2 copies back I couldn't even make 1 whole German army, and all the Gray soldiers in USA sculpts were missing! I figured he sold them online as an oddity, but if they are common then I'm not so worried.
the pieces are no longer being produced so they should be an oddity of sorts.

Just got my first order from FMGs today. Three more sets are on the way. The sets are packaged inside i small 5"x 3" x 2" cardboard box with 6 dividers. each divider holds a bag filled with 26 pieces: 9 naval, 4 infantry, 1 leader, 5 ground vehicles, 2 anti tank guns and five air units. All my bags came uniform with respect to pieces except for one bag which had one fewer piece of infantry and one extra leader. One semovente came with the turret missing so I'm going to make it a command vehicle/personnel carrier.
Don't forget to type in "Rommel" on your follow up orders to get the $5.00 discount!!!!
Great job, Jeremy!!!!

Just bought an older version of Axis and Allies at a thrift shop for 10 bucks. I was going through the pieces when i noticed that the germans are in olive drab and the american pieces are in gray. How many of these switched color pieces were released before they caught the error?
I"d like to insert a photo of the pieces; how do I do that?
