AACalc is Now Available on Axis and Allies.org
To give AACalc a more permanent home, this great tool is now being hosted here on Axis & Allies.org. Furthermore, we’ve created a new, active GitHub project to make changes going forward.
Every year the three major Axis & Allies tournament events take place at Origins, GenCon Indy, and Spring Gathering X. Greg Smorey, the official organizer, recently sent out an email with the latest information for these events.
The other day I received the following news from Greg Smorey, Axis & Allies Tournament Game Master:
I would like to take just a moment, maybe a long moment, of your time and bring everyone up to speed on the latest and greatest from the Axis & Allies Convention World.
First off, if you have not checked your calendar, Origins is
ONLY 5 weeks away.
Now, I have had a few requests, questions, concerns
regarding the Event # for events I will be running at Origins. The
easiest way to help solve this problem is to give you a copy of all the events
and the event numbers as I see it.
Greetings AA Gamers,

few big, BIG changes this year. The biggest of all is that we will be having scheduled events i.e. (demos, casual play and a few tournaments)
that one can register for. Please note that all these events are subject to availability.

If you've never been to a gaming convention, I highly recommend trying it at least once. Though, after you go once, you'll probably want to go again. If you live on or near the West Coast, then you should definitely check out GenCon SoCal. It is a great convention that is steadily growing each year.
If you live on the West coast and you couldn't make it to the midwest this summer for GenCon or Orgins, then check out GenCon SoCal next week in Anaheim from Nov. 16 – 20, 2006. There will be several Axis & Allies boardgame and miniatures tournaments to be played. For more information visit the GenCon SoCal website.
