Axis & Allies Europe 1940 and Pacific 1940 were designed to work together to form one giant global game of Axis & Allies 1940. The rules for this global game are included in the Europe 1940 rulebook. This preview will cover the rules of the global game.

The new upcoming Axis & Allies Europe 1940 board game features two new countries: French and Italy. While the fate of France might be sealed in the first few round or two of play, Italy has a real chance to expand it's power over the Mediterranean. This preview has several photos of all of the new French units, which are blue and the Italian units, which are brown.

In the last rules article, we reviewed some of the new rules for Axis & Allies Pacific 1940 and this article will conclude going over the new rules. This article will cover the following topics: the rules for the declaration of war, China, Convoys, strategic bombing with escorts, and national objectives.

In this preview of Axis & Allies Pacific 1940 I will go over some of the changes and unique rules of this game. This new edition of rules includes new units, such as mechanized infantry and tactical bombers, naval bases, air bases, new strategic bombing rules, kamikaze, convoys, major and minor industrial complexes, new unit prices, scrambling air units, national objectives, new China rules, and declarations of war. There is a lot to absorb and many rules that can be easily overlooked.

For the next few weeks we will be posting previews of the highly anticipated upcoming Axis & Allies Pacific 1940 game. Pacific 1940 will be release on December 15, 2009 but thanks (very much) to Avalon Hill and Wizards of the Coast, Axis & Allies.org has an advance review-copy of the game. I have a game scheduled on Sunday so until then, the reviews will be focused on the components of the game.
